YouTube Video Scripts
Freelance scriptwriting for Aperture, a narrative-driven Science/Education YouTube channel with an audience of 2.1 million subscribers.
The following selected scripts represent my sole contributions, independent of the final videos.

Really love the narrative way of expressing the feelings. Gave off exurbia vibes in a really amazing way
- @adikrah
Your storytelling is breathtaking
- @peytonkeimer3090
your storytelling is on another level
- @MicMuted
. . . The narration weaved in with the informational aspects was seamless and unbroken.
- @animationlabz463
This is by far your best video - @thetoweroftower3196
This almost made me cry
- @EXMUTRKS
I am legitimately speechless. Bravo!
- @citizenblue
There's something beautiful about the phrase: "and so all of you, humans from across the galaxy, adapt to the strangeness of Earth together". Also, I would watch that show.
- @ntm4
Probs my favourite vid of yours!
- @lydiafaye494
That was beautiful, thank you. I appreciate the lack of moral to this story. It wasn't positive or negative. Just melancholic and interpretive, as space itself.
- @Graphomite
When I see eloquence and gracefulness of narration like yours, nothing I can do is worth uploading anymore.

Researchers uncover path to perfect photon entanglement
When harnessed, the incredible phenomena of the quantum world stand to radically shift the landscape of modern technology. Among these phenomena is quantum entanglement: the reality that two particles can become so strongly linked that observing the state o
New faculty member aims to create quantum simulations of early universe physics
Muschik’s research specializes in quantum networks and quantum simulations. This includes exploration of the quantum simulation of ‘gauge’ theories, which describe the interactions of fundamental particles like quarks and gluons. She hopes to turn this theory into technology by developing practical simulation concepts that might so
Shaping photons on-demand
A team of researchers at the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) demonstrated a new type of on-demand single photon generator that can shape photons to increase their efficiency when used in a quantum network.
Next-generation communication networks will rely on the transmission of quantum information. Single photons, as carriers of quantum information, will play an integral role in building these future networks.
To write these stories, I had to:
- Read unreleased journal articles on quantum physics
- Do independent research to help break down their technobabble
- Convert my new knowledge into clear prose accessible even to lay readers
- Cooperate with quantum physicists interested in accuracy over accessibility
NewBit Feature Article: "Coding Our Quantum Future"
The cover story for IQC's triannual magazine. Required research into pure mathematics, a face-to-face interview, and constant back-and-forth during the editing process to ensure the subject was represented to his liking.
Web Advertising Copy: "BEYOND Materials"
Advertising copy designed to fit into the university's new 'BEYOND' branding campaign. Multiple alternate versions were written to provide options for my supervisor and other university stakeholders.
Marketing and Undergraduate Recruitment
UWaterloo Viewbook
The informational booklet given to every prospective UWaterloo student. It was my responsibility to write concise and exciting copy for two notoriously information-heavy sections: the BUSINESS spread and the TUITION page.
For each page, I...
- Researched past yearbooks (both from UW and other universities) to identify areas of possible improvement
- Evaluated the importance of competing information to craft an ideal layout in cooperation with my supervisor (final graphic design completed by UW Creative Services)
